One of the most frustrating aspects of security is that the basics get neglected. No matter how many times you remind people not to use basic passwords, people just keep on choosing obvious options — as a list of the most popular passwords of 2015 proves this.

People using “password” or “123456” at their password, losing personal information is not only a guarantee, but is surely just a matter of time.

Given the wide range of password managers out there, there really is no excuse for using these obvious options.

I myself use a program called “Dashlane”, is works on multiple platforms, as well as iOS/Android. You can generate a unique secure password, but save it for you, so you don’t have to always remember it. Its a free program.
